Why You Should Go...

The National WWI Museum and Memorial is America's Congressionally designated museum and memorial dedicated to remembering, interpreting, and understanding the Great War and its enduring impact.

Experience

Discover one-of-a-kind artifacts, including a 1917 all-original Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a battle-scarred Renault FT-17 tank, one of the few remaining in the world. Connect with soldiers from WWI through their personal items, from flying goggles and shaving kits to diaries and photos. Remnants of the Pantheon de la Guerre, formerly the largest painting in the world, are on display in Memory and Exhibit Halls.

Interactives throughout the Main Gallery space give visitors an opportunity for hands-on exploration, while special exhibitions dive deeper into more niche topics of the war. The new Open Storage Center displays 1,500 objects otherwise behind closed doors.
