Fun Facts

The CBE is the official Hall of Fame for Men's College Basketball, and it's right here in Kansas City. The perfect choice, KC has hosted more tournaments than any other city, parented the NCAA and NABC, previously headquartered the NCAA and Big 8, and is the current home to NAIA's Headquarters.

Less than an hour from KC is the 'birthplace of men's college basketball.' The game's inventor James Naismith, coached for the University of Kansas where the first team played in 1899. Naismith's student Phog Allen succeed his coach, becoming one of the most influential basketball coaches early on.

You may have a brush with greatness while inside. Recording artists include Bruno Mars, Reality TV Stars like David Cook, WNBA stars like Tamika Catchings, the Globe Trotters, Ringling Bros performers, and more have come in to hoop it up at The CBE. Did we mention Hall of Famers from Magic to Shaq?
